Prep Transition Dates | Billanook Primary School

Our Foundation (Prep) Transition Program aims to get children and parents familiar with our school facilities, meet the Foundation teachers and experience fun, engaging learning activities that introduce them to the environment and structure of school.

We offer Transition sessions in Term Four, as well as a Parent Information Session for our enrolled families.

2025 Transition Dates

Term Four

SCHOOL TRANSITION SESSION 1 – STORYTIME IN THE CLASSROOM
Thursday 17th October, 9:15am-10:30am

A story time session where your child will listen to a story, sing some songs and do a craft activity. No snack or drink will be required for this session.
Parents are welcome to stay and enjoy a morning tea with the Principal.

SCHOOL TRANSITION SESSION 2
Thursday 14th November, 9:15am-10:45am

SCHOOL TRANSITION SESSION 3

Thursday 21st November, 9:15am-10:45am

Your child will participate in a range of Specialist classes including Art, Music, AUSLAN and Phys Ed with fellow 2025 Foundation students. No snack or drink will be required for this session. Parents are not required to stay.

SCHOOL TRANSITION SESSION 4 – ORIENTATION DAY
Tuesday 10th December, 9:15am-10:45am

Your child will meet their 2025 Foundation teacher and fellow classmates. Your child will participate in a range of activities in their 2025 Foundation classroom. No snack or drink will be required for this session. Parents are not required to stay.
